This story went in a way i did not think it would. I thought it was a shifter story because of the behavior of one of the MC'S . Talking about Zack. He would sniff Aaron and comment on how good he smelled. He was kind of basically stalking Aaron for a bit. Behaving like a shifter who scented their mate and was showing their possessive nature. I was wrong. That surprise in the book was pretty cool.I loved this book , yes it's short but there will be a sequel. There a quite a few surprises in this story. Not just the one I mentioned. I did figure out the mystery behind Zack's parentage though.
Aaron was a sweet character. He's tired of being comparing him to his twin brother Axel. The more "gorgeous" of the twins. Aaron got the brains and Axel got the looks. Axel came off really annoying this book. I was over him from the moment he opened his mouth and insulted Aaron. That was a pretty sh**** thing to say to your brother. But we learn a bit about Axel and why he behaves the way he does. I hope he gets is own story and he grows up and stops acting like he's stupid and only good for one thing. I somehow believe that's not entirely true.

How would you feel if your sister or brother always went home with the guys you fall for or at the least, have the crush on? It feels worse than bad. Your self-image gets destroyed. Your self-esteem gets squished and swiped on the ground beneath countless feet and soles.
Aaron is one set of fraternal twins. He got the brains but his twin, Axel, got all the charisma and pretty face. Axel knows it too, in his really, awesome, dumbness. But nobody cares. When they see Axel, Aaron gets relegated to the back and forgotten. That is, until Zack.
When Aaron met Zack, he wanted him. There was just something about the man that attracted him. Unfortunately, Zack is a hunky man so Axel sets his sights on him and diverts his attention. Or so they think. The next thing Aaron knows, Zack is back, apologizing and asking him for a date.
Their relationship blooms despite Axel's covert attempts to steal him away. Zack is everything Aaron dreamed of, but his sense of self-doubt is strong. What if? What if?
When the answer came, it was holy cow Jamie Lake!
This is the first of the series, a novel if I might say so. Far different from the usual thirty minute little erotic reads the author titillates our imaginations with. This is a beautiful story full of surprises and whatchamacallits.
Now... for the second installment.
Ms Jamie, you can't leave us hanging like this! Can we get the next book now? Like... yesterday?
I was a little confused in the beginning of this book and for some reason got the idea the Twin boys Axel and Aaron, were younger than they actually are. Although they are Twins they are totally opposites Aaron is geeky, intelligent and Axel is handsome and confident! There is obviously a lot that went on in these boys pasts so much so that Axel is happy to sleep around and Aaron is scared to let anyone near incase he gets rejected!
Along comes Zack who is not only incredibly handsome but super rich. His interest in Araon is intense but can Araon take a change on a relationship when he is petrified of getting hurt?
There is so much going on in this book that I was easily pulled into the story. I constantly had in the back of my mind that something was going to happen that I wasn't expecting, I could feel it brewing the more i read! The character development was good and I felt I had a good insight into each character, I'm not sure about Zack though, I enjoyed his character but something is not sitting right with me.
The story builds at a great pace then the author throws a killer of a cliff hanger and I want to smash my kindle! So bloody frustrating!! Jamie Lake is a great author with a incredible imagination I haven't read anything as yet that I haven't enjoyed.
This was a longer book than this authors other reads which I was very happy about. I'm just going to wait patiently for the next book and download the min it is available!

This book is the beginning of a series that is going to be exciting, Intriguing, and Hot. Starting out with two twin young men, who are totally the opposite and the owner of the construction company working on the twins' parent's kitchen. Jamie has done an awesome job with the story line and the development of characters especially Aaron (shy twin) and Zack (Incredibly handsome, rich man), all with mysterious pasts, and the ghosts of the pasts seem to continue to interfere with a relationship that especially Zack is trying to build with Aaron. The story builds dramatically as time goes on which leads to a tremendous cliffhanger in which Aaron is trying to introduce Zack to his parents (father & step-mother). Zack walks into the house and says directly to Aaron's stepmom, "Mom". This book is one of intrigue and two very hot men. it leaves you at the end with your jaw hanging. Can't wait to read the next book of this series. I think we are in for some surprises.
Cannot wait until the saga continues.
